Becker’s Healthcare recently released a list of 14 hospitals with the highest percent of patients who strongly agreed staff respected their preferences most. Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics in Belmond was named among the national listing.
According to updated HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) scores, at least 67 percent of patients at these 14 hospitals strongly agreed that "staff took their preferences into account” when determining healthcare needs. The figures are from CMS' Hospital Compare website and represent HCAHPS scores collected from July 2018 through June 2019.
