Kirsten Burke - Daisy Award

Kirsten Burke was our daytime nurse during our stay at Clarion! This was our first child so we were very nervous going in, and she was very helpful and explained everything so well! She always checked on both myself and my husband to be sure we had everything we needed. As a first-time parent, it's scary and very nerve wracking going into the hospital, and Kirsten made sure I was comfortable and understood everything that was going on! She was very patient and always listened to everything I had to say whether it was questions or concerns or just asking advice! I felt very comfortable with Kirsten as she was so respectful to me and my husband! She made sure my husband was comfortable and had snacks during our stay, which doesn't seem like much, but really means a lot that she also checked on him too! When it came to taking care of my baby and me after birth, she checked on us frequently and made sure my pain was managed well! We were very satisfied with our stay at Clarion and a lot of that is thanks to Kirsten! The entire facility was great to us, and we definitely will be coming back! Iowa Specialty Hospital has treated us so well and is very personable! Kirsten, you are a great nurse and we were so happy to have you as our nurse during our stay!
