Made Me As Comfortable As Possible

I was scheduled to have my gallbladder removed and a hernia repaired. My surgery went well. However after my surgery, I experienced a lot of pain from the gas that was given to me during surgery. My nurse, Heather Smith, and one of her co-workers were exceptional in their efforts to make me as comfortable as possible. They did everything humanly possible to make me feel less pain - from bringing me heat and ice packs to place on the areas of my body that were hurting, to getting me up to walk to help the gas absorb into my body. Heather had other patients to attend to, but was thoughtful enough to ask a co-worker to check on me during her busy time.
