Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Maternity Center will be holding a second “Super Siblings” Class on Saturday, August 27th from 9:30am to 11:00am at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion. This is a single session class that will help children ages 3-6 years old prepare for a new baby brother or sister. Please RSVP by calling Casey Howell, OB Leader, at 515-532-9357.
Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Maternity Center recently purchased a new device called a Hearing Screen Machine. This device is used on every baby born at Iowa Specialty Hospital. The previous machine was outdated causing the need for additional screening elsewhere. The Hearing Screen Machine was purchased with the gracious donations from the Wright County Charitable Foundation.
Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Maternity Center will be hosting a Women’s Health Education Night on Monday, August 8th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion. The health education night is for women of all ages. It is free of charge, but registration is required. Please RSVP by calling Casey Howell, OB Leader, at 515-532-9357.
On July 1, 1987, Dr. Timothy Nagel joined our family practice team, known then as Community Family Practice Clinic. He soon became a staple to both the clinic and the local community as his patient base quickly grew. Now the Nagel family has a new adventure in store as they will move to Colorado later this summer, where Dr. Nagel will be practicing Direct Primary Care Medicine in the Longmont and Estes Park areas.

Yuridia McVey of Belmond, an employee of Iowa Specialty Hospital, who is studying Radiology at Mercy School of Radiologic Technology, has been awarded a $3,500 scholarship from the Iowa Hospital Education and Research Foundation (IHERF), which is supported by the Iowa Hospital Association (IHA).
