Have you ever wondered if you are on the right path? Daily I encounter individuals that are struggling with this very thing. We have all been in those moments in our lives where we questioned if this is the right decision, should I move forward or should I stay put? Nancy Gabrielson gave me a magnet before she retired that said “Don’t look back; you’re not going that way!” I read it often and eventually ended up giving it away to someone that I thought it could help. Whenever I was faced with doubt regarding some big decision, I would reflect on that quote, and it helped me to keep moving and following my path forward. I believe that sometimes we just need to take a deep breath and bravely move forward because what lies ahead is truly amazing.
At Iowa Specialty Hospitals and Clinics, we have a long tradition of blazing a trail and heading into the unknown with fearlessness and confidence. This can only be accomplished when you have a rock solid team that you trust to help you through any obstacles ahead. We are fortunate to work in healthcare where we are able to impact people’s lives. We are even more fortunate to work with individuals, who by the nature of their profession, are caring, compassionate and difference makers. This is what sets us apart from other facilities: the genuine caring and compassion of a united group of people focused on what’s the best for the patients. The path that has led me to healthcare and to where I am today has been an amazing adventure. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead, even if it is a little scary!
